Memorial Day
May 27th, 2008 @ 3:52 pm

How was everyone’s Memorial Day? Ian and I decided to take the kids to A.J. and Meghan’s to have grill out. We took brats and hotdogs and they had steak and potatos. All in all it was a pretty fun day. Mariah ran around chasing Tristin and Gabriel slept or scooted around in his walker.

Mariah also loved playing with the many, many puppies.

Adding a cut because this entry is image heavy. :)

First, we have Chase. She’s a huntin’ dog. I told Ian we’re getting one because she’s so adorable.

And this is Bubba the St. Bernard. He’s just doing his thing: eating. I told Ian we’re getting one of these, too. Though we might have to sell both the children just to make room for it.

This is Tristin’s puppy Bones. He’s a boxer. Ian wants one but I said no. Doesn’t he know who picks the breed of dog around here? He’s so silly.

Oh and that scar on his back leg? He was the victim of a hit and run.. Assholes.

I took another photo of him simply because he kept sitting for me when I told him to. I reward good behavior.

And this little gal is Roxie. I love her. But I don’t want one. Too many people around here are getting them.

So, after playing with the dogs, Mariah decided to go on the trampoline with Tristin.

At first she was unsure of it and wanted me to get her down..

..But I said no. Then I told her to start jumping around.

She loved it.

Meanwhile, Gabriel was testing out his new sandals.

Of course, his real loves are girls and cars. Sadly enough, this party had none.

Then we went to my in-laws. And Mariah once again played with puppies.

This is Daisy. She’s the best dog ever. And that white smudge on the right side of the photo is obviously a ghost. It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with my awesome camera skillz.

I love Ian’s parent’s house. The view from their deck is gorgeous.

Even if it is cow pasture. Notice the trails on the right side.

I got bored with my relatives so I decided to take photos of Linda’s pretty flowers.

I fell in love with these.

I contemplated stealing it but it looked pretty heavy.

This is what Linda calls A Bloomin’ Picture. She’s so crafty.

She also puts flowers in chairs. I think these are peonies.

After seeing this in someone’s yard, she decided to make one herself. What’d I tell you about the craftiness? Oh, I purchased the gnome for it. I like to do my part.

Lilacs. My favorite. They look and smell so gorgeous.

I got bored again so I returned to the deck. Here’s a photo of Gabe chillin’ in his bouncer.

My husband was feeling left out so I took one of him, too.

What did you do for Memorial Day?

Hehe, I’m glad you guys had a nice time! It was cloudy and cold here, which did NOT remind me of Memorial Day at all! =(

Aww! Bones, Mariah, and Gabriel all look cute! =)

LOL, I didn’t do anything for Memorial Day, but that’s how my family and I are- we don’t celebrate any holidays. Hehe…

looks like you had a great time!
I just had a cook out with my family, didn’t stay long, cory and I aren’t happy with some of them right now. It was still good for the most part. We thought about camping, but that got rained on. :/ Glad yours was better than mine though. :)

I cannot believe that someone hit a dog and ran :( That poor dog. He seems to be doing well though, and healthy so that is good :)

You have a beautiful family :D I cannot get my two and a half year old off the trampoline. She absolutely loves it. One of the friends of the family has one and she just loves it. It’s crazy! Ha ha.

But those are some beautiful photos. Very beautiful family :)
