Attitude, meet Mariah.

My daughter used to have an immune system of steel. She gets that from her daddy. My immune system is shitty to the point of being pathetic. And it seems like my daughter’s is starting to become the same way. I’ve had a handful of colds in the last few months and she’s caught every one of them from me. But we’ve been doing good this month.

Until today.

Today I have a toddler with a scratchy sounding throat and a cough. Oh, and the sniffles. Lots of “Cover your mouth when you cough!” and “DO NOT wipe your nose on THAT!” That usually belongs to her brother. She’s 3 years old and already knows about misery lovin’ company.

And it seems her attitude is deteriorating as fast as her health. This afternoon she wasn’t so bad because Grandpa was here and she was busy playing with him, but after he went home my sweet little toddler suddenly vanished. Then it just became a game of push Mommy’s buttons. Oh and another favorite game of mine: In One Ear And Out The Other. You know, the one where the toddler activates ’selective listening’? Finally I just started beating my head against the wall put her in bed with her stuffed animal and Cinderella playing on her TV. She passed out as soon as the movie ended.

Ian and Gabriel are both in bed as well, so I’m sitting here drawing in the silence. Not to mention preparing for tomorrow! I feel bad that she’s sick and thats what is making her cranky, but I much prefer my cuddly little girl to the bossy tyrant from today.

Maybe I’ll get lucky and it will have miraculously disappeared by the time she wakes up. Or I’ll just distract her by calling up my mom and making her sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ She’ll be 43 tomorrow :) And Ian’s birthday is two weeks from tomorrow (June 13th).. Good thing I have both their presents already! Usually I’m so far behind its embarrassing.

Well, I better go snuggle up to my husband and get some sleep. :) Night all!

My immune system sucks. I get a cold every month! In fact if I don’t get one I get really shocked. I am the worst in my family. Your daughter sounds so cute, attitude and all! It’s so typical that when someone is over they are so well behaved and then it all vanishes. Happy birthday to your mum and I hope your daughter recovers from her cold! Cold sucks.

Happy birthday to your Mom! My immune system isn’t great, so I definitely know what it’s like to share the burden of every cold. Too bad your little one’s has gotten worse, hopefully as she grows up it will get stronger again.

Feel better  . Perhaps your little girl just needs attention now that she’s not feeling well - congrats for giving her all the loving she needs

My immune system is pretty good, and so are my girls so far. Isabella doesn’t catch everything out there, but when she does catch it, it’s like she’s on her death bed. Same with me. When we get it, we get it real bad. My boyfriend has a good immune system too, I think the most vulnerable I seen him was when he had a blood cell infection. Then while he had that, he got phnemonia, and then his blood cell infection went away but he was still sick with phnemonia. I think I am spelling that right. It was horrible. I had to take care of him for two weeks. All he did was lie there.

I hope that your little girl feels better soon. Don’t you just love when your darlings push your buttons? Oh mine loves to push mine. But thankfully she is getting past that whole “push Mommy’s buttons every chance she gets” phase. I think Lyv has something to do with it. Lyv is so young, three months, so I think that’s a huge part to Isabella’s phase she had there. But she’s a lot better now that Lyv is older and she doesn’t always need us. She can sit in her bouncy chair and play by herself for a half an hour to an hour. She’s a very good baby.

But I really really hope your little girl is feeling better soon.

Yeah, I know what you mean about your immune system. Mine’s pretty good but my sister’s isn’t.

LOL, even if your immune system’s “perfect”, that doesn’t mean that you won’t get sick at all. =P Hahah. But yeah, I do get sick once in awhile like your daughter. I hope that she’ll get better soon! Wow, I just finished commenting on a site who has a son who’s sick… EVERYONE I know is getting sick! =(

Anyways, happy birthday to your mom!

Aww, poor baby. I hope she gets better soon, for the both of you. ;)
I never used to get sick, but this year I was sick the first 4 months. I think May has been pretty good to me for the most part.
Hopefully Mariah’s immune system builds back up and she goes back to hardly ever being sick.

Wow, sorry you all have been sick. It seems my immune system is taking a nosedive as well. I used to be the only one with a cold or itchy throat through the winter. But, not I’m sneezing all over the place. Maybe it’s just allergies.

Heh, sorry Mariah is developing a bad attitude. Hopefully she’s just cranky from being sick.
