Tis the Season.. for Marriage
June 18th, 2008 @ 11:11 pm

We have a two weddings to go to this month: one this weekend and one next weekend. Then I think we have a couple more from July-August. So when my dad and I went to Wal-mart today, I decided to get some dresses to wear to the upcoming events. I grabbed this one and this one. My dad generously offered to buy them for me, which was awesome of him. I’m wearing the black one this weekend. It’s my favorite out of the two. I’ll wear the other one next weekend. I can’t wait, I love weddings!

When we returned home, I realized I locked myself out of the house. Good thing Ian hasn’t fixed the back door yet. Since it doesn’t lock (the handle “locks” but you can still push it open), my dad was able to open the door, climb up (no back steps) and open the front door. Whew! Locking yourself out of the house is a HORRIBLE feeling. I’m just glad we got in quickly.. Never thought a broken door would come in handy. However, now that I’ve seen how easy it would be for someone to bust their way in our house, I think I’ll be begging Ian to repair the door… and have a hide-a-key made, of course!

Gabriel’s two bottom teeth have FINALLY pushed their way out of the gums. He has two little red spots where his dimples usually are at the moment, but he’s certainly a lot happier. And currently addicted to Gerber’s Peach Fruit Puffs. Mariah seems to think they’re cereal and usually devours half of the cannister every time she gets her little paws on it. Now I have to hide it whenever her back is turned.

So.. tomorrow I have a phone interview regarding our medical insurance, hopefully my stupid caseworker reactivates it. The kids have checkups coming up and I need my annual eye exam so I can get new contacts. I’m so sick of these glasses, too. I wish I could just take the entire stimilus check and buy myself Lasik. That’d be nice.

My sister once locked herself out of my house while visiting.

While getting back in, she broke a window, a blind and my airconditioner.

It was nice to come home to that after work :-) *lol*

    P.S. Love the blog.

Yikes! I’m sorry to hear that you were locked out of the house, but I’m glad that you got in quickly! Yep, being locked out is no fun!

Those dresses are really pretty! The black one is my favorite too!

Being locked outside of my house is one of my biggest fears. I’m glad you managed to get back in!

I’ve been thinking about Lasik, but it kinda scares me. What if it goes wrong? :S

Yikes, yes locking yourself out of your house is never fun. But also hiding a key outside can be scary cause a burglar can find it. Glad you still got to get in but do have the door fixed so you don’t get robbed! Those dresses are cute, especially the black one. The other one might be too casual?

wow, two wedding, I’d be going nuts. I love the first dress it is so cute, and the second is classy and sexy at the same time. I might buy the black one. As far as locking yourself out, I have been in the same shoes and had to was 5 hours to get back in lol. I am glad you were able to get in.

My parents locked us out of the house once. We went shopping, came back and Dad had to get me to go through the basement window. It hurt. He dropped me and I landed on the desk the wrong way and fell onto my back on the floor. I was maybe 7 or 8 at the time. Mom was too big to fit in the window, so was Dad, and Kevin was too little so it was up to me.

I am glad to say that I’ve never locked myself out of my house….not yet anyway :D
