Guilty of Neglect
August 3rd, 2008 @ 4:24 pm

Yes, it’s true. Lately I’ve neglected my blog far too often. These once-a-week updates are ridiculous. The thing is.. my life isn’t THAT entertaining right now. I’ve been cleaning and organizing my household and now that I’m almost finished, I have more and more free time but nothing to do. It doesn’t help matters any that I’m stuck in the house with two kids and no car. Last week before my husband returned home, I left the house maybe.. once? Twice? Yeah, twice. Wednesday we went to my mother-in-law’s to swim in her pool, then the next day she picked us up again so her friend could cut Mariah’s hair. By the time my husband gets home on Thursday, I’m jumping out of my skin because I’ve been in the house ALL week and can’t stand the sight of it anymore.

He’s good about taking me out, though. That’s nice. :) Thursday we didn’t do much, but Friday night we went out to dinner with some friends and then out for drinks. Saturday we went to his parent’s house because his grandparents were going to be visiting and we only see them a couple times a year. The last time they saw Gabriel was the day after Christmas! He was only two weeks old then, so thats quite a change.

And today? We just got back from Wal-mart because I needed enough groceries to last me and the kids all week plus cleaning and other household items. I also picked up a bathtub toy storage since we are in desperate need of one! I’m sick of removing a zillion tiny toys from the tub before I can take a bath. I can’t wait until Mariah’s bathroom is cleaned out and ready for her to use.

Oh, and here’s a cute photo I snapped the other night. It was right after we got home from Linda’s house Wednesday, which was about 9 at night. Gabriel was sleeping in his carseat, so I left him in it for a few minutes while I went to Mariah’s room to get it ready for her bedtime (pick out movie, turn on TV, turn on butterfly lights which serve as her nightlight, etc). Mariah followed along with me, but she must have paused for a minute because when I came back out this is what I found:

Apparently, she thought her brother was going to sleep there all night and decided he needed a blanket. The gesture made me smile so I had to take a photo. :)

LOL, I know what you mean about being home all the time. But now I’m never home, so I want to be home. LOL.

I’m glad you had some nice days out, though, and that your husband’s great at taking you out! =)

LOL about groceries. Do you guys have a Walmart superstore? Because we don’t have groceries in the Walmarts I go to.

Aww! Gabriel’s soo cute like that!

@Simply Precious: Yup, all of the Wal-marts around here are Super Centers. It’s kind of nice, their groceries are cheap. The only thing we don’t buy there is produce and meat - too nasty! We get those at our local grocery store.
