Friday night Dustin, Sean, Ian and I went to the Sevendust/Drowning Pool/New Revolution/Nonpoint concert in La Crosse. It was freakin’ AWESOME.

And when I say ‘awesome’ I’m ignoring the fact that we missed ALL of New Revolution and 80 percent of Nonpoint because the boys wanted to go to Hooters for drinks before.

Now I’m ignoring the fact that NOBODY goes to Hooters for "drinks." Especially when its surrounded by bars AND charges more than any of those bars. Stupid boys.

So, we made it back to the concert in time to get drinks and arrived on the floor just as Nonpoint started to play "Bullet With A Name" which is one of my favorites. We met up with Christina and Danny and stood next to them as we made our way deeper into the crowd, getting closer to the stage. Ian and Danny disappeared into the mosh pit while Christina and I hung back and danced. I have to say, Drowning Pool was the best BY FAR even though Sevendust was the headliner. They seriously rocked. When they finished, everyone was screaming so loud. The guy got back on the mic and goes "We have ONE MORE song. And I bet you can’t guess what that song is…" Everyone started screaming "BODIES!" and going insane. When they started playing it, there wasn’t a person on the floor that wasn’t jumping around and screaming along to the lyrics. It was the best part of the whole show.

Sevendust came on after that and while they were OKAY, Drowning Pool was hard to follow. But they still rocked. Like I said, we had an awesome time. I loved it.

Today, my husband bought me a gorgeous necklace for my anniversary present. It’s silver and amethyst. I’ll post a photo when I’m not so busy.

Sorry, did I say busy? I meant lazy.
