Last night I fled to my mother-in-law’s for the night because of the severe storms in the area. I think we’ve established countless times how chicken shit I am when it comes to storms. Well, it’s seemed to double since Ian is out of town. If he was here with me, I’d be nervous but fine. I wouldn’t have the strong desire to leave the house every time thunder cracks or a Warning is issued.
When arriving home this morning, I realized I had locked myself out of the house. I only do this about.. oh, once a week? Usually I just climb up through the backdoor (no steps, so its quite a leap) and let myself in since that door’s lock is broken. Well today, it magically fixed itself. I yanked and yanked on that freakin’ door and nothing. Nada. Then I cursed and beat on it for awhile. That didn’t help either. My mother-in-law ended up opening one of our living room windows and shoving me through it.
I cringe at the thought of what our neighbors say about us.
Did I mention that while we were doing this, it was pouring the entire time? Yeah, that was fun.
But I’m in the house now. And I’m permanently attaching my keys to my wrist.
Today’s going to be another long day of storms. I hope Ian comes home early. I hate this working-out-of-town thing. I MISS MY HUSBAND. Dammit.
I guess I’ll go clean something. I’m that bored.

What have I been up to? Check it out:
Friday I went to an interview and it went great. In fact, it was three hours long. I’ll find out this week for sure, but I’m pretty sure its a yes.
Saturday we went to Tristin’s birthday party and had a blast. It was a pool party which Mariah LOVED although she would only go in the small pool, not the big one.
Saturday NIGHT, Ian took me out to the movies.
We went to see Hancock which I genuinely liked, though judging by the critic’s reviews, I may be the only one. I’m just a Will Smith lovah.
Sunday, shopping. Then lots and lots of snugging time with the Hubby because he’s going away YET AGAIN this week for work. Grr. >_<
We also bought a small pool for the kids Sunday. They LOVE it. We had to fill it up with buckets though! Turns out we have no hose attachment on the outside of our house. That sucked. Since the pool is outside our bedroom window, we opened it and Ian passed buckets of water out to me. Its only about 1/4 full at the moment, but its the perfect depth for Gabriel to crawl through and not get water in his face. He loves chasing after his sister in it. Then he’ll sit up and look around with a huge smile on his face. It’s absolutely precious.
Which reminds me: Gabriel has been crawling like a pro for two weeks now. He even acts like he wants to stand up half the time! I have about 350,000 heart attacks a day.
Well, I’m off to my Grandma’s for the night. I have my employee drug test tomorrow and she has to take me since our car is still at the shop. Kind of sucks having to beg a ride from someone, but.. I have to get there, don’t I?
I leave you with this:
