Training Woes

Well, yesterday I had my first training class for work. It seems like I’ll be training with some nice people. I met another girl from Wisconsin - Milwaukee area to be exact. A lot of people were having technical problems so the rest of us just spent the time chatting and getting to know each other. Three girls were pregnant and due the same month. And two of them also had birthdays two days apart. How crazy is that? These same girls were from Kansas and getting some pretty horrible weather. They kept warning the trainers that if they left the room it was because of the tornado watches/thunderstorms they were having! :o I’d be cowering in my basement!

We didn’t even get anything done because a third of the class kept having problems. Most of them were just listening problems. For instance, when the trainer clearly states and posts it on the bulletin board that you should connect to something before connecting to our main program, don’t repeatedly ask her why it’s not working when it’s clearly from lack of following directions. And the number of people who kept typing web addresses into the google search bar: its clearly marked “Search google.” Quit whining that it took you to Google with a No Results message. It’s SO FRUSTRATING for the rest of us who actually want to accomplish something in training.

In other words, I opened another domain for a project I have in mind. I’m also thinking I might want to open a shop for some handmade crafts I’ve been making for years and just handing out as gifts. They’ve gotten a lot of feedback, so I’ll have to see how they do online. I wonder what I’d all need to start an online shop? My cpanel has some programs in it (whats that program called? Fantastico or something?) but I don’t know. Maybe some business performance management software if things really pick up? :)) Who knows. I’ll be plugging the domain here reaaaal soon.
