When did we acquire all these clothes?? How can I possibly have so many clothes that I don’t wear? Either I received them from someone and never wore them, I bought them and grew out of them thanks to having two babies or I just haven’t worn them lately. And my children.. My children have more clothes than I’ve ever had! I feel like writing a letter to my family begging them not to bring any more articles of clothing in my house as I can no longer keep up on my laundry! I did five loads today, three yesterday (eh,I had to train so I only had a couple hours for domestic duties) and I know that I’ll still be doing that many loads a day for the next few days.
Seriously, it’s bad. My moms friend is deployed in Africa as a nurse and I might just start bagging up clothes to send over there because they really need children’s clothing. It’s not like my kids will miss them. My washer and dryer (not to mention wallet!) could use the break.
Today I realized my daughters clothes won’t even fit in her room anymore, I have to store CLEAN clothes that she’s still wearing in totes! I’m using totes as dresser drawers.. Somewhere, Martha Stewart is crying. Maybe I could put it on a mom marketing website.
Thankfully it’s Yard Sale season. In fact, our town’s city wide rummage sales are this weekend. Too bad I won’t be able to get everything together in time, but I’ll make sure I do by next weekend. Whatever is left over I’ll bag up and give to my mom. My brother can pick through the girl things for his daughter and anything he doesn’t want, my mom can send to her friend in Africa. I just want it out of my house!
Clothes.. They’re cute and all but enough is enough. I’m drowning in them!
That being said, I need to run to Wal-mart to grab a few items (laundry detergent, dryer sheets, heck maybe even some diet pills! lol)
