Sorry I haven’t updated for a couple days. We’ve been having horrible weather. I did get to go to the city wide sales with my mom, though. We finished RIGHT before the rain started pouring down. Whew! Then we had to drive all the way back to Sparta in the storm and Mariah kept crying because she was scared of the “hunder” even though I told her it wouldn’t hurt us. I think she was more tired than actually SCARED because she’s never had a problem with it before. She’s like her mommy: can’t function properly before 10:00am. Considering we were up at 7 that day, we were all a little cranky. Except Gabriel. That kid is happy ALL day every day.
Anyway. After we left the rummage sales, we went to Sparta like I said. My mom treated us to lunch at Micky D’s and then we headed to her house for awhile. It continued to storm for another hour or so, then it cleared up. And ugh, the humidity SUCKED. We walked down to Butterfest and nearly freakin’ died from the stupid heat. We didn’t even look around, just grabbed Mariah the cotton candy she was begging for and left right away. My mom dropped us off at home after that and she wasn’t gone that long before it started storming AGAIN. Well, I hate storms to begin with, but when I’m home alone in a mobile home with my babies and the conditions are “favorable” for a tornado? Not good. Not FUN. I had just decided to put a movie in and let the kids lay in bed with me and watch it when the radio announced a tornado heading straight for my town in approximately fifteen minutes. I almost burst into tears and ran for the phone. I frantically called my mother-in-law who lives down the road (in a nice, sturdy house with a basement..). She sent my father-in-law to come pick us up and we ended up spending the night there. Once I was there, I calmed down immediately. I hate hate HATE living in a trailer when it storms.
It stormed all through the night and rained all day Sunday. With so much rain, areas around here have been flooding. They even evacuated La Farge because of the floods. I’m pretty sure Butterfest was canceled Sunday and if they even had the parade, I’d be surprised. Here are some photos from the local news website:

Nobody sent in any of the tornado, but can ya really blame them?
Today (so far..) is sunny and partly cloudy. I hope it stays that way, too. No more rain, plz!
