After sorting through clothes last week, I finally emptied out a car seat box full of boy clothes we’d received from a family member. The box was sitting next to the front door waiting to be carried out to the trash when my daughter discovered it.
Needless to say, the box is now a fort complete with windows and a door. Mariah and Gabriel are LOVING it. Its kept them entertained longer than any toy ever has before.

Updates from the weekend:
Cleaned my house and it is (nearly) spotless! The only rooms left are the spare room and spare bathroom.
Went out to the bars on Friday and got wayyy too drunk.
Visited my mom on Saturday to see how she’s doing since her hysterectomy Wednesday.
Received free MP3/Video player from my mom!
Got spoiled rotten Sunday by hubby, who gave me a hundred dollars when we arrived at the mall. So. FUN.
Gabriel is already trying to walk! He pulls himself up into a standing position, finds his footing and then tries to walk away. It’s been giving me a zillion heart attacks a day. He’s only (well, next week) 8 months old! Little punk.
Now I’m missing my husband like crazy and he’s only been gone since this morning. Hopefully he’ll be home tomorrow. I HATE this working out of town crap. I want my husband home with my every night, dammit. Also, I have no idea what my daughter’s problem is but I think she’s confused today with Opposite Day. Everything I tell her to do, she does the exact opposite. Talk about frustrating.
One last thing: Sorry for the lack of blogging this week. I’ve been trying to get my house clean and sort through the enormous piles of dirty laundry and discarded clothes of the kids. I have filled bag after bag of clothes and there’s still more to go through. I can’t wait for it to be out of this house so I can move Gabriel into his own room.
Of course once my house is clean, I’ll curl up and die from boredom.
