..Not so early to rise.

Hey all! I meant to blog last night but I passed out at 8:20pm.

Can you believe that? The last time I went to bed at that time I was probably five years old. Even then, I’m sure I was only in bed because my mom desperately wanted a few hours to herself before she went insane. I totally understand that feeling. My kids are usually in bed by nine at the latest. Then I run back out here and breathe a sigh of relief: Ah, freedom! No diapers, no tantrums, nothing. Just me. Its my favorite time of the day, I’m not going to lie.

Anyway. SO I went to bed at 8:20 and just woke up at 10:00am. I feel SO MUCH better. Yesterday just involved way too much running around in unbearable humidity. First, I had to take both the kids for their check ups at the doctors. Gabriel weighs 18.6lbs and Mariah weighs 36lbs. Mariah also had her eyesight checked, it was about 20/30 in both eyes. The only resistance we ran into with Mariah was getting her ears checked. She just did NOT want that thing in her ear! Finally, the doctor was able to look and gave Mariah a pinwheel as a “special treat” for being such a big girl. Then we just had to wait for the nurse to give Gabriel his shots and oral vaccination and we were out of there. He did pretty good with his shots and only cried while the needle was actually in his leg. After they took them out and bandaged him up, he was back to smiling. Amazing. Simply amazing.

After we left the clinic, we headed to my grandma’s house because she was going to watch the kids while I ran into the city for an interview. Well, I got there and found out “Oh, this isn’t an interview! Since you applied online and we can’t pull online applications off the computer, you have to fill out a new application.” I was like, are you kidding me?? I filled one out and then Jesse, the HR guy, took me back to a room and chatted with me for a bit. He told me they have a training class that starts the 21st and I’d be hearing from him today or tomorrow about scheduling an actual interview for it. Hopefully he calls me today, otherwise I was instructed by him to call him Monday. Ugh. I hope I get this job. I’m SO ready for an out of house job again.

When I was finished with my interview that huge waste of gas filling out my application, I headed back into town, grabbed the kids, called in a carry out to Pizza Hut and returned home. Of course it was 87 degrees in the house when we arrived. Luckily it cooled down quickly because it was so late. Today is only 64 degrees, thank god. We REALLY need an A/C unit (or four. or five.) in this house. I asked my grandma how much it cost to put central air in HER trailer because she had it done about four years ago. The price? $1200!! Great. I’ll be able to afford that, uh.. never?

Looks like we’re going A/C shopping this week.
